To overcome this I changed the setting in my app. I turned notifications in the App for open and closed off and turned on notifications if the gate was open for more than 10 minutes. I have also have a camera viewing the gate accessible on phone. The combination of remote cameras and control I can verify propane or package delivery and let people into the property.
